How does hiring a campervan or motorhome with Camptoo work?

Find a beautiful motorhome or campervan 

Choose a motorhome, campervan or caravan that suits the holiday you've planned from our extensive supply. To make your choice easier, you can apply filters such as pick-up location, product types and the number of berths.

The online ads give you a good overview of the caravan or motorhome: it has pictures, descriptions and inventories. If you see a vehicle you find interesting, you can save it as a favourite so you can easily find the ad again.

Ask a question or make a reservation

There are two ways to contact the owner of a motorhome or caravan via Camptoo: you can start a conversation through "Ask a question" in the ad, or you can directly request a reservation. If you’re still looking around, it is best to use the "Ask a question" option, so that the owner can help you. Once you have decided which motorhome or caravan you want to use for your holidays, it is best to request a reservation. The owner can then officially accept your reservation.

Complete your reservation

Once the owner has approved the hire period you prefer, you can complete the reservation. Complete our verification procedure by uploading your driver's licence. Next, confirm your reservation by making a down payment of 25% of the total price through our secure payment process. You can directly pay online by using a credit card. The balance should be paid no later than eight weeks before the reservation period. You will automatically be notified of this. The owner will be paid after you have picked up the motorhome or caravan. This will guarantee that the motorhome or caravan will be there for you. Please note: as long as you have not made the down payment, others may still book the motorhome or caravan. By making a down payment, you agree to the terms and conditions of hire.


The deposit is set by the owner, and usually amounts to £1000 for a motorhome or £500 for a caravan and is to be paid a few days before your departure. This will be refunded to you within 5 business days upon your return, assuming no damages occurred of course. For reservations up to 10 days this deposit may also be authorised by creditcard, so you don't need to transfer the money.


The deposit is equal to the deductible. You can insure the deductible through Rental Cover. The amount  deposit. However, this will be refunded in full by Camptoo or the insurer.


It can occur that you need to cancel. In that case, the cancellation policy will apply. Having a good cancellation insurance is wise. Our team will be happy to assist you in finding the insurance option that best suits your needs!
