Across 241 miles you will find beach towns to stop for the night and park your motorhome or campervan, including Chichester, Langstone and Portsmouth Harbours. A short ferry ride from Southampton port is also The Isle of Wight, a beautiful island that is the perfect place to explore when you rent a motorhome or campervan. Packed full of coastal walks and park ups with panoramic views, it’s definitely worth a visit.
Just outside of the city is the popular National Park, New Forest. Here you can expect to park up in spots where wild horses will surround your campervan, small picturesque villages are waiting to be explored and outdoor adventurers will have endless activities on their doorstep. Brockenhurst, Lymington and Beaulieu are just some of the many towns that are worth a visit in this area. Whether you want to be amongst nature, head out paddleboarding/horse riding/ kayaking or just hop from town to town, the New Forest has something for everyone to enjoy.
Just over an hour away you will arrive at the Jurassic Coastline, which has some of the best sights that the UK has to offer. Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Isle of Portland and Old Harry Rocks are just a handful of the epic spots that await you on this journey. Here you will also find some incredible campsites to pull up at. The epitome of a UK road trip, the endless coastlines, countryside and quaint villages in this area showcase the delights of van life with ease.
