Adam has decorated the camper very nicely and has installed an excellent stereo system, which integrates with the TV and DVD player. We couldn't get it to link up with our Netflix, but I suspect it was our technology at fault. Even so, future hirers are advised to check this thoroughly before departing, or to bring DVDs and/or USB drives.

The vehicle is a few years old, and a little bit tired, but it is in excellent mechanical condition, feels solid and reliable. Also, it is not too thirsty - we averaged 14.48L/100km, which I didn't think was too bad.

There is a very good fridge on board, with a small but functional freezer, and the vehicle has pretty much every utensil that you might want. There are lots of cupboards, so you can take everything you need with you, and the kitchen is very easy to use.

Adam has also fitted out the vehicle with solar panels and associated kit, and with extra water tanks, so if you want to go off grid for a few days this is a great vehicle to do it in.

Adam is an honest and considerate (and patient!) person, and was a pleasure to deal with. Make sure you allow plenty of time for the handover when you collect the vehicle - there is a lot to learn about, and it took me over 90 minutes, but then I'm obviously a slow learner. I suggested to Adam that a written manual would be handy, that would have saved me calling him several times during our trip to be reminded how to turn something on or off.

All in all, I fully recommend that you hire Adam's camper.
