We recently bought this Autotrail Tribute 669 because we were looking for a really flexible van-sized motorhome. This 2, 3 or 4-berth camper, with bathroom, is considerably smaller than a coach-built motorhome, which makes parking so much easier.
Whilst we like touring and staying on campsites, we also wanted facilities to enable a night or two in the wild, but with all the essentials on board – loo, shower, wash-basin, hob, grill, oven and washing up facilities! It also has 2 leisure batteries and a solar panel to keep it powered up when off grid.
And what we really like about the Tribute is that it’s super-flexible. It can be configured as a two, three or four-berth. So, if our (quite large) kids want to come away with us, we have the space.
The main double bed is at the back. During the day, it can be set out as two sofa areas and there’s a locking point for the table, so it can become an additional dining or relaxing area. If you don’t want the sofa layout, the bed can remain set up the whole time. What’s really clever is that, if the kids or friends want to come with you, there are rails which fit above the lower double. Two removeable slatted frames and mattresses form sleeping accommodation for two children or adults (as long as they’re not too heavy!). This top sleeping area can also be configured for a single, rather than a double, or can be removed completely if there are only 2 of you.
There are 4 belted seats. The driver and front passenger seats are Captain’s chairs, revolving to face backwards into the van. The other passengers travel in a two-person bench seat. There is a locking point in the front area for the table, which can be used when the van is stationary to form a dinette.
The kitchen has a hob, grill/oven, good-sized fridge and a sink. It comes equipped with a stove kettle, plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, glasses, frying and saucepans and essential kitchen utensils.
Stored under the bed/sofa at the back are 4 camping chairs and a table. There is a cupboard for clothes storage and storage under the passenger bench seat as well as a number of cupboards.
It’s an ideal touring campervan. Quick to set up and go, flexible layout and easy to park. Contact me for more information.
