Fell in love with campervanning in 2016 after spending 10 days in a van. Absolutely loved it! When our foreign holiday was cancelled in 2020 we hired a van again and then decided to take the plunge and buy one.
Jimmy has a fridge (only cools properly on EHU - on 12v will keep things cool but won't bring the temp down), two ring burner, grill, sink with cold water, diesel heater and lots of storage. Basic cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery are provided (we once hired a van where no glasses or teaspoons were provided - we will make sure everything is there!!). A small fold-up BBQ can also be supplied.
Electric hook-up (EHU) for 240v. Inverter if needed when not on EHU. Leisure battery and one 12v plug. We have just had solar fitted which should help the lights and 12v stay topped up.
We have invested in a diesel heater which is lovely and toasty and you do not need EHU for this. We also have a small electric heater for when EHU available.
There is a 3/4 size rock and roll bed in the main cabin and a poptop which will sleep 2 children. My son is 5'8" and struggles up there though so I wouldn't suggest it is suitable for teenagers and above. The awning has a sleeping compartment which can accommodate 2 people (beds to be supplied by the customer) but it is not the most robust of tents so I would not advise this other than in the summer and therefore have not included in the sleeping capacity. But is good for storage and sitting in when raining.
You can plug your phone into the radio and play your music.
I love driving Jimmy. I was really nervous the first time but actually prefer driving him to driving my car.

Through the whole process of booking and a gazillion questions to Anne, who replied to them all very quickly, the friendly no hassle handover from Sean, Jimmy never missing a beat around the NC500, 1554 miles driven, returned to both Anne and Sean, who were very excited and interested to know our travels, everything was perfect.
Jimmy's not flash but he has character. My first drive was from Sheffield to Inverness. 412 miles and 8hr20min behind Jimmy's wheel, I could have done it again he was so comfy.
My wife, our dog Sheldon and I all slept very comfortably. With the provided black-out blinds our sleeps were also very private.
Everything you could need, Jimmy carries it around for you. Plates, knives and forks, beakers, spoons, everything. All you need to take are your clothes along with whatever food and drink you're having.
