Here is a 5-day Itinerary for a Wales Roadtrip
Day 1: Brecon Beacons
Easy to reach, Brecon Beacons is a great place to explore your Welsh adventure. Whether you enjoy cycling, walking, swimming or simply relaxing in nature, there is something for everybody to enjoy here. Some of the best things to explore are Four Waterfalls Walk, Pen-Y-Fan mountain and Sgwd yr Eira waterfalls. The perfect first spot to capture the true beauty of Wales. Chose to stop here for the night, or continue along further in the evening.

Day 2: Pembrokeshire
A two-hour drive will place you in the Pembrokshire region where you will find plenty of beautiful coastlines to explore. Chose from Marloes Sands, Whitesands Freshwater West and Saundersfoot Beach to capture the true beauty of this coastline. You are also on the Wales Coastal path here for endless walks taking in a spectacular sea view. It’s an excellent spot to surf, stroll, swim or simply relax in a peaceful setting.

Day 3-5: Snowdonia
Begin the 2-hour 45-minute climb to Snowdonia. A longer stretch of travel, there are lots of places to stop along the way. You can even hug the coastline for a more scenic route. There are lots of small towns to pass through to enjoy some Welsh traditions. Then, once you arrive in the Snowdonia region, we recommend spending 2 full days exploring the area. Here you will find yourself in an adventure playground! Chose from hiking, rock climbing, watersports, mountain biking, adventure parks and so much more. Top spots to visit are Mount Snowdon (of course!), Zip World Forest, Sallow Falls, Electric Mountain and Bala Lake. Just the drives through this area alone are truly spectacular, so be sure to pull over and make the most of the endless picture opportunities too!

Day 5: Shropshire Hills
On the final day, it’s time to start heading in the direction of home! But don’t worry, you can stop in Shropshire Hills on the way to soak up the last of Wales’s beautiful greenery. Stroll in the breathtaking woodland, explore the traditional Welsh towns or simply pull up and admire the views that Wales has to offer.
